Job Description for:

Clinical Applications Specialist, North America

 

A.   General Summary

 

Reporting to the Director, Global Clinical Applications, Clinical Application Specialist’s (CAS) role is to train and develop distributor Clinical Applications team members through onboard development and in-field training in order to drive adoption of all company products and support both sales and user success.

 

The CAS will oversee and provide support in the areas of customer education, training and activation including ongoing monitoring and support. In addition, the CAS shall be responsible for organizing group and individual training exercises for distributor CAS as well as mentoring distributor and Exact Imaging CAS in the field. The CAS shall be further responsible for sales demonstrations when requested by distributors and future clinical applications development. The CAS may resolve customer satisfaction issues as assigned and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

 

The CAS role supports Engineering, Marketing & Clinical Research as required to contribute to the development of high-quality products and support the development of marketing materials as required.

 

B.    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

                                                                                                          

CAS Team Building & Support

·      Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate staff (including distributor CAS staff)

·      Coach & mentor staff in the execution of their responsibilities

·      Manage the day to day applications support activities providing supervision, direction, and timely performance feedback

·      Gather post demo/training information to determine effectiveness and implement corrective action as required

 

Customer Training and Activation

·      Provide pre-installation and post-installation clinical application support of high-resolution clinical ultrasound equipment

·      Develop and provide training for our customers on the use of newly acquired equipment

·      Develop and provide training for new distributor staff

 

Customer Support and Monitoring

·      The CAS will be responsible for continuous and ongoing customer support and monitoring of the customers technical and performance needs, including both technique and image analysis monitoring with corrective action as required

 

Pre Sales Demonstrations

·      The CAS may be required to provide pre-Sales demonstrations of ExactVu™ ultrasound equipment and related clinical applications for prospective customers

·      Travel to and participate in trade shows, conferences and workshops as subject matter expert on high-resolution clinical ultrasound imaging techniques and applications.

·      Interaction with Sales Managers to manage customer expectations and facilitate the sale of systems

 

 

Marketing Support

·      Prepare for and attendance at tradeshows, symposiums and other customer gatherings

·      Assist marketing with image atlas, website and brochure development as required

 

Application and Product Development

·      Work with and maintain strong ties to luminary or partner labs

·      Collaborate with our partner labs to develop new products/ software using the ExactVu™ system

Travel

·      Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 70% – 80% of working time as required

·      Valid passport required allowing travel to Canada, United States, UK and Europe without visa restrictions

 

Other

·      Other duties as assigned by Management

 

 

C. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

                                                                                                                

Education: 

·      Graduate from post-secondary program in the fields of Clinical Sonography (preferred), Medical Imaging, Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, Biophysics, Nursing

 

Knowledge/Experience:

·      Minimum 3 years progressive clinical imaging experience

·      Management experience preferred

·      Adult Education experience preferred

·      Experience in medical software and knowledge in imaging applications is required

  • Proficiency in using general office productivity software (Microsoft Office, etc) for communication and documentation purposes
  • Experience working with ISO 9001/13485 quality standard desirable

  • Ability to travel approximately 70% – 80% of working time as require including overnight travel. Some weekend and international travel may be required
  • Fluent in other languages including Spanish, and French is an asset
  • Sense of urgency, self-motivated, flexible
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs /10 Kg
