Position Description


The Sales Director is a key member of the Sales and Customer Experience team and drives revenue growth in new and existing accounts while delivering the highest level of service to patients, customers and channel partners.



  • Develop a business development plan and monthly goals that supports the achievement to meet or exceed revenue expectations for regional and Company revenue targets. Review metrics of territory in order to determine progress of plan and adjust accordingly. 
  • Execute the strategy to establish and expand the distributor network including appropriate contractual relationships, distributor training programs and ongoing field support.
  • Engage with target surgeons and hospital administration in the region to further the availability of a personalized spine procedure for patients in key institutions. Document all customer interactions via CRM protocol. 
  • Assist in onboarding new sales agents, surgeon customers, and healthcare institutions to provide seamless integration of products into their respective operations.
  • Provide technical support to Design Associates in the development of patient specific surgical plans and devices.
  • Meet training requirements including proficiency with professional selling skills, product knowledge, competitive product knowledge and territory management and time management. Manage expense budget expectations as outlined by the management team. 



  • Demonstrated clinical understanding of spine anatomy, diseases of the spine as treatable by the product’s procedure, surgical procedures to treat spine disease, and knowledge of the products and technologies.
  • Competency to learn and effectively articulate technical product knowledge and medical terminology in discussions with customers.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.



·       Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university required

  • Minimum 7 years spine experience in the operating room. Additional medical device operating room sales experience a plus.
  • Qualified for and able to maintain privileges at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements, vaccination or background/drug test requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
