Country Manager – USA (Commercial Operations) – 3557860
A global medical device company focused on neurosurgical technologies is seeking a Country Manager – USA (Commercial Operations) to lead and grow its U.S. business. This executive will oversee commercial strategy, sales leadership, distributor partnerships, and operational performance while driving market expansion for a portfolio of implantable neurosurgical devices and neuro-critical care solutions.
The role requires a proven medical device leader with strong neurosurgical market experience, the ability to scale a commercial organization, and a track record of competing in highly competitive hospital markets.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the U.S. commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Maintain full accountability for U.S. P&L performance including sales, margin, operational efficiency, and strategic investments.
- Lead and develop the U.S. commercial organization including sales, clinical, marketing, and operational teams.
- Manage and coach a direct sales force while expanding and optimizing the national distributor network.
- Drive competitive account acquisition and strengthen relationships with leading neurosurgical centers.
- Implement disciplined sales processes including forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM tracking.
- Strengthen pipeline development and sales conversion for capital equipment platforms and associated consumables.
- Lead U.S. commercialization strategies for upcoming product launches and technology introductions.
- Align key opinion leaders and clinical partners to support product adoption and market growth.
- Develop and manage distributor governance frameworks including performance evaluation and contractual alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10–15+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in neurosurgery or neuro-critical care markets.
- Demonstrated success leading and scaling commercial organizations.
- Proven experience managing hybrid sales models (direct sales and distributor networks).
- Strong experience working with IDN/GPO contracting and hospital procurement processes.
- Track record of successful product launches in complex and competitive medical device markets.
- Strong forecasting discipline with experience managing sales pipelines and CRM processes.
- Willingness to travel as required to support national leadership responsibilities.
Compensation: Competitive based on experience
Years of Experience: 10–15+
Degree: BA/BS required; MBA preferred
Location: United States (East Coast or Central preferred)
