We’re partnering with an innovative and rapidly expanding medical device company at the forefront of neuromodulation therapy. The organization is advancing non-invasive technologies that help address significant unmet needs in mental health, behavioral health, and pain management while building an impressive foundation of clinical evidence and physician adoption. As the business continues to grow, the company is seeking an Associate Medical Science Liaison (Associate MSL) to support medical education, scientific exchange, and clinical research initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent PharmD, PhD, DNP, postdoctoral fellow, or clinical resident looking to launch a career in Medical Affairs. Working alongside experienced Medical Affairs leadership, the Associate MSL will gain exposure to key opinion leader engagement, medical education, scientific communications, publication planning, and clinical research activities. The position offers a structured development path with direct mentorship and advancement potential into a Medical Science Liaison role as scientific expertise and field experience grow.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver scientific and clinical education programs to healthcare professionals, clinics, hospitals, and academic institutions.
- Provide education on mechanisms of action, clinical evidence, safety, and appropriate use of innovative medical technologies.
- Support national and regional medical conferences, scientific meetings, and congress activities.
- Research, develop, and maintain scientific content including presentations, evidence summaries, FAQs, and educational materials.
- Respond to medical information inquiries and assist with scientific communications initiatives.
- Monitor clinical literature, competitive developments, and emerging scientific data within relevant therapeutic areas.
- Support company-sponsored clinical studies, investigator-initiated research programs, and publication activities.
- Assist in the preparation of abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and scientific presentations.
- Capture and communicate scientific insights gathered through field interactions and educational programs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs, regulatory, quality, marketing, and market access teams while maintaining scientific integrity.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree required (PharmD, PhD, DNP, MD, or equivalent scientific or clinical doctorate).
- Recent doctoral graduates, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate, interpret, and communicate scientific and clinical literature.
- Strong presentation and public-speaking skills with experience educating clinical or scientific audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in Medical Affairs and field medical roles.
- Academic, clinical, or research experience in psychiatry, neuroscience, neurology, behavioral health, pain management, or related therapeutic areas preferred.
- Publications, conference presentations, clinical research, or industry-related experience preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically, including overnight travel and occasional weekend commitments.
