Area Sales Manager – Gulf Region – 3575107

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) serves as the senior commercial leader for the Gulf Region, with full accountability for revenue growth, distributor performance, and strategic execution within the territory. This role combines hands‑on commercial leadership with distributor oversight, key account engagement, and disciplined execution of company sales initiatives across hospital systems, surgeon practices, and operating room environments.

The ASM develops and executes a comprehensive Area Business Plan to ensure alignment on strategic and financial objectives, sustained growth, operational excellence, and compliance. As the primary regional representative of the company, the ASM builds strong, executive‑level relationships with surgeons, administrators, and distribution partners while maintaining a visible presence in the field to support case coverage, market development, and territory expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth and achieve sales and profitability targets within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and manage distributor partners to ensure effective execution and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, and purchasing teams.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of vertebral compression fractures (VCF), spinal disorders, and treatment options.
  • Provide case coverage and logistical support in hospitals, operating rooms, and surgeon offices.
  • Support pricing, contracting, and account-level negotiations in coordination with sales leadership.
  • Gather market and competitive insights while adhering to ethical and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical device or spine-related sales with leadership responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, billing processes, and contracting environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage distributor partners or sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant business and sales experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree required (BA/BS)

Location: Gulf Area (Travel covering FL, GA, and AL)

Employment Status: Full-Time
