Medical Science Liaison – Remote, US – 3674433

Are you passionate about transforming the treatment of mental health conditions and pain through innovative neuromodulation technology? As adoption continues to accelerate across clinical settings, this organization is expanding its Medical Affairs team and seeking a highly scientific, field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support evidence generation, key opinion leader engagement, and scientific education initiatives.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a scientifically driven professional who enjoys engaging with physicians, researchers, and thought leaders while helping shape clinical strategy. The MSL will lead scientific exchange activities, support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research, provide clinical education, and serve as a trusted scientific resource both externally and internally. The role also includes leadership responsibility for an Associate Medical Science Liaison and significant involvement in publication planning, clinical development, and medical strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Lead scientific exchange discussions regarding mechanism of action, clinical evidence, safety, and therapeutic applications of company technologies.
  • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals and healthcare institutions.
  • Respond to scientific and medical information requests and support external educational initiatives.
  • Represent the company at national and regional conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
  • Serve as scientific lead for company-sponsored clinical studies, including protocol development, study oversight, endpoint selection, and interpretation of results.
  • Manage investigator-initiated study programs and support publication planning, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
  • Capture medical insights from the field and communicate findings to internal stakeholders to support research, product development, and medical strategy.
  • Provide scientific training and education to internal teams, including sales, marketing, market access, and regulatory affairs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the Associate Medical Science Liaison while supporting organizational medical affairs objectives.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree required (PharmD, PhD, DNP, or equivalent scientific or clinical doctorate).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical affairs, scientific affairs, clinical research, or a related industry role.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical study design, evidence generation, biostatistics, and scientific literature evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and thought leaders.
  • Experience collaborating across functions while maintaining medical and scientific independence.
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ISO 14155) and medical device clinical research regulations.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and scientific storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
  • Prior MSL, field medical, psychiatry, behavioral health, neurology, pain management, or medical device experience preferred.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.

Location: Remote, US (Preference for Dallas-Fort Worth, TX or Durham, NC)

Travel: 50-60% Domestic Travel
