Position Summary

Join a rapidly growing medical device company focused on expanding its commercial footprint. The organization is seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager to drive growth in a strategically important, underpenetrated territory covering Southern California and Las Vegas.

This is a true build role, offering the opportunity to capitalize on significant white space, displace established competitors, and establish strong clinical partnerships. The ideal candidate thrives in a hunter environment, excels at developing new business, and is motivated by uncapped earning potential and long-term market development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive adoption across Southern California and Las Vegas
  • Build physician relationships from initial introduction through case support and long-term program growth
  • Drive new business in an underdeveloped territory, focusing on account penetration and expansion
  • Identify and convert opportunities within hospital systems and IDNs
  • Support procedures and provide clinical education to ensure successful product adoption
  • Navigate complex sales cycles involving value analysis committees and hospital stakeholders
  • Track and respond to competitive dynamics within the territory
  • Collaborate with internal leadership and cross-functional teams to execute growth strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of medical device sales experience
  • Proven track record of success in new business development and territory growth
  • Experience selling into hospital and surgical environments
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
  • Background in neurosurgery, spine, or adjacent specialties preferred
  • Ability to operate independently in a large, multi-state territory
  • Highly motivated by performance-based compensation and growth opportunities

Compensation:

  • Uncapped commission structure with monthly and quarterly incentives
  • Equity participation included
